A wonderful opportunity for a Horse Care apprentice, in a variety of disciplines. Obviously, horses are your love, but this position also includes handling and driving carriage horses and stud work. If you are also interested in tourism or helping people enjoy their big day, this is the position for you. We are a local company managed and run by people with a lifetime experience in the breeding and competition world. We pride ourselves on our standards of turn out and ability to provide the appropriate horses and carriages to suit the event. The stud are breeders and producers of performance horses; eventers, showjumpers and dressage, with our horses competing globally. There is no denying this job is hard work, but so rewarding. To the right person there will be carriage driving training, and opportunity to learn about the world of breeding horses. General duties to include; Mucking out Turning out/bringing in Tack cleaning Tacking up Feeding Filling hay nets Clipping/pulling/plaiting/trimming Bathing Rug changing Schooling Riding First aid Exercising horses from the ground (lunging, horse walker, long reining, pessoa training etc.) Holding for vet/farrier/dentist
