We are looking for a Technical Instructor to join our Hadlow College equine team at the Royal Borough of Greenwich Equestrian Centre. As a Technical Instructor you will provide additional technical assistance to our lecturing staff. You will take responsibility in supervising work experience placements, volunteers and students. As an instructor you will be demonstrating and providing practical instruction in Equine Studies to students following a variety of modes of study.

Further responsibilities include supporting the range of commercial activities such as the riding school and hydrotherapy centre in which training will be provided. The ideal candidate will have a level 3 or above equine vocational qualification. A teaching qualification, BHS stage 2 teaching or equivalent (or willingness to obtain) and level 2, or equivalent in maths and English are essential. The ability to communicate effectively is essential for this role along with at least one years relevant practical experience within the Equine industry. This is a full time position and there will be a requirement to work some evenings and weekends. In addition, this role requires individuals to be part of the overnight rota at the site which will include on average 8 overnights per month (this may change in line with the needs of the department). Accommodation is provided for the purpose of the overnight cover only and payment is made at £40 per night.

In return, you will receive 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays and access to the Teachers Pension Scheme. You will also benefit from free parking and the opportunity to work with an excellent team at state of the art facilities.
