GROOMS JOBS BOARD

I'm looking for a part time groom for a private family yard in North Nottinghamshire for Monday - Friday morning, occasional weekend morning would be helpful too.

Hours are flexible but is roughly 2-3 hours per morning, this depends on what exercise the horses are having that day but happy to work this partially around you. Start time each day is flexible but I would like them fed no later than 9am.

Three horses , two ridden and one companion. The horses live out all year with access to a large shelter and hard core yard area. General yard duties, including daily poo picking of the field and exercising two horses (hacking, lunging and schooling). You must be happy with sole working and be a confident rider as both are big (16.2hh +) fit horses.

They are all sweet and easy to do but one can jog and occasionally nap out hacking and the other is extremely green and anxious when schooling and needs someone who can reassure and help re-teach him the correct way of going, a background in eventing or dressage for this reason would be ideal.

We have miles of off road hacking, currently schooling/lunging on grassy sand land but we're hoping to put in an outdoor arena over the winter. You will need your own Freelance Insurance and be able to provide videos of you riding and recent references.

Job to start 13th Sept when my current groom starts her Masters course.
