A Derby-winning stud seeks a committed, versatile Stud Hand to join the team. The role involves handling foals, young and adult horses, with a focus on foaling. Applicants must have a positive attitude, excellent work ethic and a commitment to high standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with foaling, including night shifts during foaling season.
- Handle horses confidently for grooming, lunging, and basic exercising.
- Administer basic equine first aid and assist vets/farriers.
- Feed, clean stables, maintain tack, and general yard/property upkeep.
- Operate and maintain machinery.
- Keep accurate records of horse care.
Requirements:
- Horse handling experience, especially foals.
- Knowledge of basic equine first aid.
- Good time management, adaptability, and a driving license.
- Able to work every other weekend.
- Accommodation available.
