GROOMS JOBS BOARD

5 days per week We are looking for an experienced, knowledgeable and enthusiastic Full-Time Groom to join our professional showjumping yard from November. This is an exciting and varied position working within a high-quality yard, with a particular focus on the care, education and development of foals, yearlings and young horses, alongside the day-to-day management of retired and rehabilitating/injured horses.

The position will involve all aspects of the day-to-day care and management of the horses, alongside keeping the yard running smoothly: Handling and educating foals, yearlings and young horses Helping youngsters develop excellent manners and confidence from the ground Supporting their progression through the different stages of their early education Grooming and general yard duties to a high professional standard Assisting with the management and rehabilitation of injured horses Caring for retired horses and maintaining their health, condition and wellbeing Working closely with the wider team to ensure consistently high standards throughout the yard Ensuring the yard runs smoothly at all times, to include all the ordering of feed/supplements etc, arrangement of appointments (eg vet/farrier) and communication with owner

We are particularly interested in someone who has substantial previous experience working with foals and young horses, ideally within a professional sport-horse, showjumping, breeding or production environment.
