We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working person to join our team as an apprentice groom, with the potential to become an instructor.
Experience with horses is essential, including being able to ride to a decent standard. You will ideally have owned your own horse and have some experience of working in a commercial environment either as a volunteer or paid.
Duties to include
- Mucking out
- Turning out/bringing in
- Tack cleaning
- Tacking up
- Feeding
- Filling hay nets
- Clipping/pulling/plaiting/trimming
- Bathing
- Rug changing
- Schooling
- Riding
- First aid
- Exercising horses from the ground (lunging, horse walker, long reining, pessoa training etc.)
- Holding for vet/farrier/dentist
- Assisting with lessons
- Office duties to include taking bookings and payments, dealing with clients over the phone and in person, completion of paperwork
