A great opportunity for an apprentice to work at a Riding Centre, providing therapeutic horsemanship, horse riding, camps and educational programmes.  We are based at Wootton Park, in a beautiful 360 acre estate. We work with schools, care providers, Local Authority departments and individuals to offer our inclusive lessons. With top of the range facilities, off road riding tracks and woodland areas onsite, the right candidate, would need to enjoy working with children and young people. Duties to include:

  • Mucking out
  • Turning out/bringing in
  • Tack cleaning
  • Tacking up
  • Feeding
  • Filling hay nets
  • Clipping/pulling/plaiting/trimming
  • Bathing
  • Rug changing
  • Schooling
  • Riding
  • First aid
  • Exercising horses from the ground (lunging, horse walker, long reining, pessoa training etc.)
  • Holding for vet/farrier/dentist
