The IGA
The International Grooms Association (IGA) is the professional association for grooms working at FEI international-level competitions.
It is the vision of the IGA to achieve representation with a collaborative voice, career recognition, greater status and a better working environment for grooms working within the international competition community.
WHO CAN JOIN
Membership of the IGA is for all grooms who are currently working, have worked, or would like to work for a rider/driver who competes at FEI international level competitions.
The BGA does not have a remit to represent grooms to the FEI. It was clear that the grooms that work internationally, particularly in the Olympic sports, needed their own organisation to enable their voices and concerns to be heard.
This is why the IGA has been formed, and all BGA members who work on the international circuit are invited to join.

How much is it
BGA members are invited to join for just 15 euros per annum.

History and background
The IGA was formed at the request of the FEI.
On 26th April at the FEI Sports Forum, Lausanne, Switzerland, the President of the FEI, Ingmar de Vos, and Lucy Katan, Founding Director of IGA, signed a ‘Memorandum of Understanding' on behalf of grooms working within the FEI.
The IGA gives an independent voice to the grooms that will be recognised internationally and by the FEI.
