What a week!

I’m writing this as we are waiting to get on the ferry at Calais, heading home!

The last two days have had their ups and downs again.

As we were not competing on Friday once the horses were ridden we then got to watch the best jumping in Europe, and witnessed our showjumpers getting a bronze medal and their golden ticket to Tokyo.

It really was amazing stuff.

Today (Saturday) we had the kür with Del and after warming up beautifully, the atmosphere got the better of him and he got pretty excited about the whole thing!

He’s never had the experience of three tests in one week so it’s not surprising.

He’s still a star to have done so well this week and hopefully next time he will improve even more.

Then Gareth and Briolinca did the most amazing test to lift everyone’s spirits again. I’m so pleased for Steph after all the hard work she has put into their lovely mare!

So there we are, another championship done!

We’ve laughed, cried, we’ve done like the Dutch and biked miles and miles, but above all we’ve had an amazing time together as Team grooms.

We have supported each other through highs and lows I’m so proud of the horses and the grooms. They truly are the best.

I hope everyone has enjoyed a little insight to our world and hope to catch up soon.
