The British Grooms Association (BGA) and The Association of Polo Schools and Pony Hirers (APSPH) are delighted to announce their new partnership which will enhance and support correct employment in the polo industry.

In a hugely positive and powerful move the APSPH have joined their members to the BGA’s Employers Zone, which gives them access to all the tools, templates and information equestrian employers need to ensure they comply with the law and offer best employment practices.

Lucy Katan, Executive Director of the BGA said, “Polo is a sport that is currently facing challenges with its staffing due to the latest Home Office ruling. The BGA is delighted to welcome the APSPH membership to the Employers Zone. This is just the first step of our work with the polo community, and we look forward to welcoming more polo grooms and employers to our professional association. The BGA is for everyone that works with horses, and that certainly includes the sport of polo.”

Lucy Wilson, Co-Director of the APSPH says, “We are always looking for opportunities to work with other associations to create a better standard within the pony hire and polo school community. Having the opportunity to partner with The British Grooms Association is a key step for polo, polo grooms and polo groom employers. Helping our members to be better equipped as employers is just one of our positive steps with the British Grooms Association.”
