GROOMS URGED TO BE INSURED FOR SUNSHINE TOUR

As the British winter takes its hold over the past couple of weeks, many grooms and riders will be putting the final touches to their preparations for travelling to to Spain for the Spanish Sunshine Tour.

Based in Jerez de la Fonterra, this annual event has become part of British dressage riders and show jumpers circuit.

Freelance groom, Jane Harvey, explained more, "The grooms that travel out get to enjoy 3-4 weeks in the warm sunshine and of course the horses love the warmth too! It is a great thing to do and there is a lot of fun and team camaraderie".

Previously travel insurance was one preparation that was ignored annually due to horrendously high costs. However the BGA have recently introduced a bespoke and affordable travel insurance for both grooms and riders and now it is utterly recommended that all grooms travelling to Jerez in February consider insuring themselves.

Travel insurance is a must for any holiday and so why wouldn’t you insure yourself when working abroad with unpredictable four legged animals! BGA Travel Insurance is available for just £41.76 for an annual European policy, a bit of a no brainer for any travelling groom.
