Work in racing opportunity

Racing are looking to find their future Racing Grooms and Riders for the horseracing industry. If you are coming to the end of your Equine College Course or graduated recently from an Equine College and are looking to secure a job in a racing yard, this Programme could be what you are looking for. This Programme will:

* Develop your riding skills and give you confidence to ride racehorses
* Start your career in horseracing
* Offer expert tuition by a qualified Racing Instructor
* Find employment with a racehorse trainer on successful completion of the initial 4 week training Programme.

Working with the Northern Racing College and the British Racing School, you are offered a 4 week residential training Programme, one to be run at the British Racing School in Newmarket starting on 19th June 2017 and the other to be run at the Northern Racing College on 3rd July 2017.

You must be finishing your Equine College Course in 2017 and be able to start employment in the racing industry at the end of the 4 week training Programme.

This training is free and includes accommodation and meals for the duration of the 4 week Programme.

Successful applicants will be invited to attend an Assessment Day in April or May at either the British Racing School in Newmarket or the Northern Racing College in Doncaster where you will get the chance to ride one of the school’s racehorses, have a physical fitness test and a short interview.

If you would like more information on this Programme please contact Michelle Douglas, Careers Marketing and Recruitment Advisor at the BHA on 020 7152 0020 or to apply, please complete the on-line Application Form
