Groom Clean with Clean Sport Week

10th July 2017

This year UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) has launched their Clean Sport Week - a campaign to raise awareness amongst the public to ensure clean sport for all in the UK.

At the BGA we are passionate about clean sport, which is why, in March 2016, we launched Groom Clean - an interactive e-learning course to give candidates an understanding of the importance of anti-doping and controlled medication in equestrian sports.

Like the UKAD, the BGA supports grooms from grass roots to elite level with Groom Clean there to support and help educate all within the industry.  Chief Executive of the BGA, Lucy Katan says, “The e-learning course will give you a good understanding of how to avoid an anti-doping rule violation, something every competition groom should know. Stand out from the crowd and get Groom Clean on your CV today.”

Team GBR dressage groom Alan Davies, who works for Charlotte Dujardin says, “The BGA’s Groom Clean is an invaluable tool for all grooms. It is interesting and informative and covers all of the topics in a clear and concise manner. Clean sport is a very serious topic so it is very important that grooms have access to this information. We have to be aware of so many regulations and also to be aware of how our horses can be affected in many different situations.”

Clean Sport Week is running from 10 - 17 July 2017 so why not do your bit and get your Groom Clean certificate today.

Groom Clean is free to all members when you log in to the members area of the website. Non-members can get access to this online course for just £14.50 by clicking here.
