The BGA is delighted to announce its new partnership with KBIS British Equestrian Insurance (KBIS) which will enable the introduction of the long awaited monthly payment for Personal Accident Insurance.

The three BGA membership options, which all include Personal Accident Insurance cover, will now be available to pay on a monthly basis; an exciting move which will we know will revolutionise the lives of many grooms across the UK.

The move comes following requests made to the BGA from its members who have previously been unable to afford an annual insurance premium leaving themselves and their earnings exposed. The new payment option makes this essential insurance accessible and affordable to all working grooms.

This has been made possible due to a new sponsorship arrangement with KBIS, who also passionately believe that all grooms should have the opportunity for affordable and suitable personal accident insurance policies.

Many self employed grooms may not be aware that they are not eligible to claim statutory sick pay if they get injured, therefore it is imperative that they have personal accident insurance.

The BGA is committed to working with grooms and employers within the industry and strongly recommend that all employers insist that their grooms have personal accident insurance.

Insurance policies start from just £5.00 per month and also include membership to the BGA. If you are already signed up as a member with insurance then you will get the option of monthly payments when you come to renew your policy.
