The nominees for the Horse & Hound Awards 2018 have been announced and the voting is now open.

The Horseware Groom of the Year award is a hotly contested category with Pat Taylor, BGA Ambassador Daniel Tarpey, Jane Felton and Tamzin Nesbitt all being shortlisted.

BGA Ambassador Daniel Tarpney works for Peter and Happy Charles and says, “It’s a privilege to be nominated for such an award and to be in the short list is an honour. It goes to show that hard work and dedication to your job really does pay off and goes noticed.”

In addition amongst the nominees is Jane Buchan who has been nominated for Pikeur Amateur Rider of the Year.

Jane works for BGA sponsors Baileys Horse Feeds and said, “I am quite humbled to have been nominated and to have made the shortlist. The other nominees are all very worthy of winning. When I realised I’d finally got a horse who had the ability, I thought, “I’m going to have to make this happen” so that’s what I’ve been doing; training and working up the levels to see how far we can go.”

The awards are at Cheltenham racecourse on 8 November, and voting is open until 11.59pm on 18 October. Good luck everyone.
