Dan Tarpey wins the Golden Groom Award

The biggest grooms prize of the year? We think it might be...

The winner of the Golden Groom and Peak Performance Award courtesy of TheraPlate UK is our very own BGA member and Ambassador #supergroom Daniel Tarpey.

Daniel, who works for show jumping sensation Harry Charles, was presented the award for groom of the best turned out horse which has tried the TheraPlate at the Liverpool International Horse Show.

“I feel honoured to have been awarded with such a prestigious prize from one of the final shows of the year! It really does mean a lot to all grooms across all disciplines that we are now getting recognised for all of the hours, hard work and dedication that we all put in" said Dan.

"This includes groom across the board from home grooms to apprentices as this award wouldn’t of been won without the great back up team that I have at home. They really are fantastic.

Theraplate UK are the first company to do an award like this I would like to thank them hugely and on behalf of all of the other grooms that worked tirelessly around the clock at Liverpool International Horse Show. We are one big family so keep working hard guys and reward will be on its way!”

The Golden Groom Award will be presented to the groom of the best turned out horse which has tried the TheraPlate at the Liverpool International Horse Show.

In addition to Dan getting the use of a brand new Toyota Aygo for the year, Harry and his trainer also receive the use of a TheraPlate. As the leading therapeutic performance platform used for equine sports conditioning and injury rehabilitation, TheraPlate UK truly understands how important a groom’s role is in maintaining the equestrian athlete.

This year’s Theraplate UK Liverpool International Horse Show took place from December 28 to 31 2018 and saw the launch of the Golden Groom and Peak Performance Award.
