NEW WEBSITE GOES LIVE

15th August 2014

After months of planning and hours of blood, sweat and tears the BGA is delighted to reveal its new look website.

In addition to its fresh feel the new website is much easier to navigate around, has more content for grooms and a new zone dedicated to employing staff.

Careers choices are very important to our members which is why we also have a dedicated section to training and education where you can find out everything you need to know about becoming a groom and furthering your career. Members also have access to CV and covering letter templates to help them get the job of their dreams once they log in.

We know how significant jobs are, a subject which has been embraced in our Opportunities area. Alongside our popular Job Board and BGA Freelance Grooms Adverts, members also now have the ability to advertise themselves on our BGA Job Seekers board, giving you the ability to be head hunted.

Many of you will know that it is not uncommon for your parents to worry about you and your job – it is part of their role after all! We wanted to help combat answer all the questions parents have and so we have created a parents section which includes access to our Parents Group.

In the Members Zone you can find everything you need to know about your career. There is lots of support, educational content, career information and access to the SPILLERS Nutritional Certificate. Freelance grooms can take full advantage of the dedicated section in the Members Zone where you can find loads of useful and practice help, advice, support and templates on everything you need to know.

The Employers Zone is a separate area on the website deigned to help employers and yard managers deal with everything from day management to handling disputes. All of the information is devoted to working in the industry and you won’t find big long words you don’t understand – just practical help and advice on everything that is relevant to your yard.

This new website has been made possible by lots of hard work from the BGA Team, a grant from the BEF and British Eventing, donations from very generous supporters, and money raised by BGA member Lou Gillings.

We hope you enjoy looking around – if you like what you see please tell all of your friends to come and check us out too!
