The British Grooms Association (BGA), is pleased to announce their new partnership with Westgate Laboratories.

Since 1999 Westgate Labs has been leading the field in helping owners and grooms to manage the parasite control of their horses.

By finding out which horses are carrying worms, and treating only those that need dosing, reduces the use of unnecessary drugs, and helps to slow the build-up of wormer resistance, as well as being better for the environment.

Lucy Katan, Executive Director of the BGA said;

“We are excited to welcome Westgate Labs as one of our sponsors. We share a passion for innovation and education, so it is great news for our members that they will learn about targeted and sustainable worm control.”

Working together, the BGA and Westgate Labs will raise awareness for issues surrounding wormer resistance and educate as to why worm egg counts should be used for worm management.

"We are delighted to come on board as sponsors to support the fantastic work of the BGA. Grooms are such an integral but often vulnerable part of the workforce on the frontline of horse care and deserve recognition and representation for the invaluable services they provide.

By backing our industry professionals, we can give them the tools to tackle the important issue of wormer resistance head-on, one of the biggest challenges currently facing equine health. It's a collaboration that feels very aligned, representing our shared dedication to the wellbeing of our horses and the professionals who care for them, and in doing so contributing to a thriving and sustainable industry." Claire Shand, the Director of Marketing & Communications for Westgate Laboratories.

Everyone at the BGA is excited to be partnered with Westgate Labs and looks forward to working together.
