GROOMS JOBS BOARD

Fittocks Stud is looking for a full-time, experienced, and enthusiastic member of staff to join our small friendly team to provide excellent care to our elite broodmare band, with the goal of prepping their yearlings for the major European sales, that ultimately will go on to be successful at the highest level on the racetrack.

Opportunities to further their experience in foaling and yearling preparation for the sales are available to the right candidate.

Key skills:

Experience in handling mares and youngstock with confidence is required.

Experience working at the sales would be an advantage.

An understanding of the thoroughbred and breeding industry would be a benefit.

Daily duties include (but not limited to):

Basic horse handling, grooming, turning out.

Routine daily checks and feeding.

Sales training/preparation.

Mucking out.

Assisting with the vet and farrier.

This a non-riding position, accommodation is available if required.
