Riding (hacking/exercising)

Busy livery and show jumping yard are looking for an apprentice who is a confidant rider, with the chance to bring their own horse. Plenty of opportunities for shows, lots of riding. Duties to include:

  • Mucking out
  • Turning out/bringing in
  • Tack cleaning
  • Tacking up
  • Feeding
  • Filling hay nets
  • Clipping/pulling/plaiting/trimming
  • Bathing
  • Rug changing
  • Schooling
  • Riding
  • First aid
  • Exercising horses from the ground (lunging, long reining, pessoa training etc.)
  • Holding for vet/farrier/dentist
