The British Grooms Association (BGA) is delighted to be celebrating its 8th birthday this weekend, after launching at Badminton Horse Trials in 2007.

Over the last eight years the BGA has achieved a huge amount, so to celebrate we take a quick look back at it some of its achievements over the past year.

The long-awaited proof that magnesium can potentially help calm horses has now been found. New research, conducted by the WALTHAM® Equine Studies Group and Australian collaborators, to be presented at the Equine Science Society (ESS) in Florida in May, has shown that magnesium can significantly slow reaction speed responses.

He described it as a Budget that "works for you", but Chancellor George Osborne's speech should be regarded as a Budget of aspiration.

Some measures announced by the chancellor will take effect relatively soon, so what do these announcements mean for your finances? And was it good for grooms?
